Spanish 23 Man Squad 2013

Spain Nation Coach: Vicente del Bosque

Del Bosque has won back to back major events with Spanish national side and he has kind of eliminated the rivalry between Madrid and Barca players who really play for spain when they put on the shirt for the national side. He likes his side to play short passing football pretty much like Barcelona style. A complete squad only downer is the fact most of the players in the squad has won it all, so how he is going to motivate the team is the key.

Del Bosque main tactic for spain is to just keep the ball, opponent can not score if they dont have the ball. 2012 Euro Championship winning Spain team was hailed as the best ever football side.

Expected Lineup of Spain in 2014 World Cup:

Spain world cup lineup 2014To keep the hunger in the team, Del Bosque will go with quite a few new players in the national setup, Diego Costa will lead the line with Silva, Navas and Iniesta supporing from the attacking midfield roles. Pedro and Tello will be the other forwards (but likely to start from the bench)

Star Players: Diego Costa & Andreas Iniesta

Costa is having one superb season and he might lead Atletico to famous double of La Liga and Champions League success. He is sure to be in every starting lineup of Spain in 2014 World Cup. A late bloomer but playing at the peak of his career right now, he will be key alongside Iniesta who is master of short passing.

Any Exceptional Youngster ? Cristian Tello

Spain will probably take only two young players in squad Christian Tello alongside Chelsea’s Azpilicueta. Tello got lightning pace he he will be used as the substitute.
